Redefining oneself...again

Whomever invoked the famous phrase 'Life is a Journey' obviously lived in my house. (I'd also like to shoot them - but that is a completely separate issue of course.)
Personallly I'm not sure how much journeying I can take. On the up side - constantly being pushed into re-inventing yourself does keep life interesting.

I definitely can't say I've ever stopped learning new skills. From a quiet little beginning in Network Security - to learning to design databases in a big hurry due the boss's pet project.

Next on the list PHP, and brushing up on... my copywriting skills (say what?)
Yep.. new boss, new pet project, redesigning the company website and improving all the web copy. Other than the fact that I still use a computer, entirely not within my current skill set.

Luckily..Unluckily for me? I have aways tended towards a certain amusement level gained from writing. As a teenager I filled many a notebook with angst driven poetry and short stories. Now I'm not saying any of it was any good, but it did pass the time in English class.

The habit continued. Looking through my documents folder on my laptop, I am amazed at how many bits of literary flotsam and jetsom I have floating about in there. Oddly enough it of course varies from how-tos I've written for a online knowledgebase that belonged to a former UTM company I worked for, straight through to sections of essays (? No idea...) and several promising looking novels, if I ever got one of them past Chapter 5. Which appears to be a fairly consistent breaking point for my attention span on any particular topic.

So anyhow... here's to learning how to write thrilling web copy.
See you on the dark side.
